The restorative session will be begin with an approximately 30 minute stretching session designed to increase mobility and restore your body.
We will then transition into a 10-15 minute meditation session.
As we move into the sound bath (approx. 30 minutes), you’ll lie back, relax and allow yourself to experience the sensations and vibrations from the sounds! It is ideal if you can stay present, awake, and aware of any feelings that come up in the moment, but it is also totally normal if you fall into a dreamlike state or fall asleep.

We will provide the mats and the vibes.
We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing and socks. We will provide the mats but anything else you want to bring is up to you. Suggested items include:
a small pillow to support your head,
an eye mask
a small blanket (the body cools during rest)
any items that help you get into your comfort zone
Typically we require sneakers in our classes, but not for this event.

A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body meditation and listening experience. It begins with each person lying down, relaxed with eyes closed. Marilyn leads a guided meditation to further relax and calm you, which then flows into the gentle therapeutic and restorative sounds to anchor the mind and body. She uses a variety of instruments in her sessions, including crystal singing bowls, and many instruments representing the soothing sounds found in nature – wind chimes, an ocean drum, a 4’ tall rainstick, a handmade shamanic babbling brook disk and many more. When you fully immerse into a sound bath, you allow your brain waves to slow down, shifting from an active brainwave state to a relaxed or even dreamlike state.

Sound healing helps us change our state of being through a process called entrainment or synchronization. The benefits are well-documented. Experience profound relaxation, reduced anxiety and stress, improved mood, and enhanced overall well-being. The effects can last from hours to days, allowing you to carry this serenity with you long after the session ends.
Meet Your Practitioners & Instructors
Zac Bonhoff started his instructor journey in the wake of the pandemic. After seeing the way his grandparents lived their wiser-years with mobility and barely requiring any assistance, he realized he needed a better relationship with his body in order to have that same quality of life as he ages. He started his journey in a hot yoga studio, then found his way onto mega-formers, and is now excited to teach the Pvolve method. With mobility, stability, and strength the main points of focus at Pvolve, he realized that's exactly what he needed to add to his fitness routine in order to live as long and healthy as his Grandmom Boots.
Marilyn Shaw has long been passionate about holistic modalities and the healing arts. Her journey into sound healing, a practice with roots dating back thousands of years, began after attending her first sound bath. The immediate shift in energy she experienced ignited a deep drive to become certified in sound healing and meditation, enabling her to share her passion with others and help them relax, heal, and navigate the stresses of modern life.
Marilyn holds a meditation certificate from Sura Flow and has completed sound healing practitioner certifications from SoundRX, the Sonic Mastery System, and Sensory Land, a sound healing program in the United Kingdom focused on working with children from “utero to university.” Marilyn was the first American to complete the Sensory Land program.
In addition, she will complete a certification program in Musical Intelligence for Sound Healers through the Sound Healing School in the Netherlands in September 2026.
She has accumulated more than 275 hours of specialized education and is also recognized by the International Sound Therapy Association (ISTA Sounds). Additionally, she graduated as a holistic nutritionist from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2013.
Committed to lifelong learning, Marilyn plans to pursue additional certifications to further expand her ability to support others on their healing journeys.
